"Sandy" Update

Hello everyone!

We so much appreciate the calls and texts asking us about our safety during hurricane "Sandy."  Praise the Lord....we've been fine so far!  Yesterday (Monday) we had a TON of rain and some gustier winds, but we didn't lost power at all.  Yay!  Today is rainy with some mild winds.  The weather report says that we might get a little snow later in the day.

We are so thankful that the Lord allowed the worst of the storm to miss us!  Please pray for other folks on the East Coast, though.  Parts of Maryland have gotten lots of snow, and New York/New Jersey are supposed to get major flooding.  Not fun!

I'm getting a little EXTREME...

Well, folks....I have a NEW hobby!  I'm super excited about this, because it actually WORKS.  I've entered the world of EXTREME COUPONING.  Wow...I love it!

 

So the other day I went shopping, and by playing it smart with coupons I was able to get ALL of this FREE!!!  Yay! :)

 

Here's the whole lot I purchased on Monday (see below)- a retail value of $180.00 for only $35.00! The purchase included all the free items above, plus 2 pork tenderloin fillets, 8 boxes of cereal, coffee, feminine products, yogurt, spices, quality razors, and expensive makeup. 

 

It has definitely been the LORD showing me how to use my coupons wisely.  I am so thankful that He has opened up this unique way to help me save money.  I'm so excited!

It's FALL!

Happy Fall, Y'all!  It's been SO nice to have cooler weather here for the past week or so.  It's finally starting to feel like fall.  I even pulled out my fall decorations!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Things haven't been quite as busy recently, so that's why I've not been posting as much.  We recently had a fall fellowship, but I forgot to take pics :(  Bummer! 

 

Since it's fall now, I've been trying out some new recipes.  The pic below was the food table a a Secret Sisters meeting I hosted at our house.  I tried out Apple Streusel bars (left), Pumpkin Snickerdoodles (center), and Hot Spinach-Artichoke Dip (top right).  Everything was delicious!  If anyone would like recipes, please just let me know :)
