Mary Jane and Joe are next to get married this summer :)

Handel's Messiah

Last week we took a small group from our church to a performance of Handel's Messiah in Maryland!

We stopped at an Irish Restaurant for dinner...

The town was so pretty!

Here's the church that the Messiah was performed in. It was so ornate and beautiful.

I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the performance, but it was absolutely AWESOME!

Christmas Music at the Hospital

Yesterday Sarah Jones and I went to York Hospital to play Christmas music in their main lobby. We played for an hour and 45 minutes! We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and look forward to doing it again :)

What an AWESOME piano!

Church Christmas Party!

Tonight we had our church Christmas party during our evening service time. We had a blast!

We started the night with snacks and dessert...

....Then we played the icebreaker game where you have to initial all the different boxes in order to win.

Then we sang our traditional "12 Days of Christmas" Song, complete with all the actions!

"A partridge in a pear tree..."

"5 golden rings!"

Yours truly playing the piano during the song :)

Last, but definitely NOT least, we had our White Elephant gift exchange! We got some interesting gifts...

Little Katie got a bottle of sparkling apple cider :) It's almost as big as her!

We are so thankful that God has called us to Grace Bible Church! We love and appreciate each one of you :)

Kid's Night

This past Friday night we had a Kid's Night at our church. We had to keep 11 rowdy children entertained for 4 hours! Needless to say, we were tired at the end of the night, but we were glad to be able to give their parents time to do some Christmas shopping.

Here's the snowman pizza I made for dinner!

We had the kids watch "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer" while they ate pizza.

Then I had them decorate gingerbread cookies. Don't they look yummy? :)

Adam playing "Simon Says" with the kiddos...

Crazy time! Mr. Rick and Adam enjoyed chasing the kids around the basement and playing freeze tag.

Whew! What a busy night!

Nursing Home Opportunity

This past Tuesday, Sarah Jones (a girl from our church) and I had the opportunity to provide a nearby Nursing Home with an hour's worth of Christmas music. Sarah played her violin, and I played the piano. It was so fun...and residents said they really enjoyed it.

Next Tuesday Sarah and I will be going to the York Hospital to play in their big lobby area for about an hour and a half. Please pray for us! :)

Winterfest Craft Fair

Today Adam and I set up a couple of tables at a local craft fair to try and sell my crafty stuff. We didn't do too well today (last year was GREAT!), but...oh well! At least we had fun doing it :)
I have another week-long show at Curves next week, so we're hoping things go better there. I would appreciate your prayers!

Here's the table setup...sorry it's a little blurry :(

A closer view...

This year I decided to experiment with these cake stands made out of old dishes and glasses that I super-glued together and spray painted. I think they turned out pretty good...

If anyone is interested in purchasing any items (hint, hint...wink, wink :)), please let me know. I still have LOTS left!
