Snow...in OCTOBER?!?

And we thought Wisconsin was bad! :) As I type, we are getting SNOW here in Pennsylvania - a rare occurrence indeed for the month of October! The weatherman says we are supposed to get 6 inches today. Crazy!

Visit from the Thomases

Jim and Vilma Thomas (old friends from Victory Baptist) stopped by to visit our church this morning. It was so nice to see them again and catch up.

They took us out to lunch after the service...

GBC Fall Fellowship at the Lippi's Farm

Last night our church had a Fall Fellowship at the home of our church members, the Lippi's. Their house is absolutely gorgeous, and we so much appreciate them opening their home to us. Everyone had a blast!













Adam enjoyed hanging out with the guys and playing chess with Caleb Walls.


They also had a campfire outside that we all sat around. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of that because it was too dark.

The Piano is Fixed!

Our church has a beautiful baby grand piano that has been sitting covered for the longest time because it needed several major repairs. However, I am happy to report that we have just gotten it FIXED and I am now able to play it for church! Ahhhh....it's SO much nicer to play on a baby grand :)

Fall Decorations

I love fall, and I love decorating our home to look like fall! Here's a tour of our place...

Neat story about the pumpkin arrangement on the table there. I had been wanting to get one for a while, but after pricing them, I decided that they were just too much for me to buy at this point. Just a week or two later, my secret sister from church left this arrangement for me in the church lobby! Praise the Lord....He even cares about little desires like that :)

Gettysburg Revisited

Adam and I visited Gettysburg again yesterday...it's becoming an annual tradition! It's so lovely in October when the trees begin to turn their colors.













We stopped at our favorite spot and had a picnic!




I just love these cool fences...they're EVERYWHERE!


At one point we climbed a high tower to get a view of the battlefields. Nice view, but a little scary looking down :(

Fall Happenings

It's been quite an eventful fall already! We have had the opportunity to fellowship in the homes of many church people (some of which I got pics of, and some I didn't).

Here we are playing "Settlers of Catan" with the Bates and Bongardt families....

It was Kyle's birthday one night at Cory and Becky's, so we sang to him and gave him a cake :)
