Toledo Zoo

Last week we drove to Ann Arbor, MI to see Adam's family. We had a great time!

On Thursday we went to the Toledo Zoo. Here we are getting ready to go...

Mary helped to pack a yummy lunch!

My SUPERMAN! :) Look at those guns! ;)

Because of the heat, Anna decided to put her hair up in these cute little buns!

Hmm....about the same height. Maybe he IS related? ;)

Mom Burtt and Mary

We stopped for an ice cream break mid-afternoon...

Doesn't Mary make a lovely butterfly?

They even had a new baby elephant at the zoo....too cute!

Whew! We were all QUITE exhausted by the end of the day...

Misc. and Sundry :)

On Friday (8/19), we went to visit Dad Burtt. He's doing great! He showed us all around the place, including this duck pond.

Adam and his brothers worked hard to get the grass cut at the house while we were in Michigan. Yikes! Look how long that grass is!

Poor Philip had to rake up all the grass!

Adam and his Uncle John also used the backhoe to move some heavy pieces of machinery.

Here's a pic of Mary, Anna and I on Sunday!

Weekend Fun

On Saturday of our Ann Arbor Trip (8/20), we had a brunch at Grandma Gardner's house. Stephen and Tina were up for the weekend as well! It was so much fun to see them and spend some quality time with our nieces and nephew.

Brooklyn is so cute!

We celebrated Pastor Hirth's birthday on Sunday by throwing him a surprise birthday party fellowship! Happy Birthday, Preacher!

John and Dave did an excellent job scooping ice cream :)

After church Levi and I got to play together quite a bit because his mom and dad were busy in a meeting. I think he's finally warmed up to me! :) He was a bit hesitant at first.

Yuta's Party

On Tuesday night before we left Ann Arbor, we were invited to a cookout at Yuta's house (one of the single guys at the church)! We had a wonderful time hanging out with everyone. Thanks so much for inviting us, Yuta :)

Mary said that I couldn't leave Michigan without a University of Michigan shirt, so she bought me this one. (You do realize, Mary, that I will be KILLED if I wear that in PA, right?)

Michigan girls!

The cousins (nice face, Lydia) :)

Our host, Yuta

Yuta had us play a game where we had to smash a watermelon blind-folded! Here's Tabitha trying to hit it...

Everyone watching on the porch...

Bummer! She missed!

Chad won!

Tab and Jo

Now we KNOW that they're from another planet! ;)

Rachel and David

Yuta had an awesome piano!

We miss all of you SO much! It was great to come and see you :)
