"Pastor Adam"

Adam does a wonderful job preaching every service here at Grace Bible Church! It's neat to see God take a willing channel and enable him to minister for His glory. We have received several comments from the people about what a blessing Adam's messages have been to them. Praise the Lord!

A good message always takes hours of preparation. Here's Adam in his office studying...

I think he likes his job :)

Ann Arbor Reception

On July 6th, Ann Arbor Baptist Church held a wedding reception for us! It was so much fun to get dressed up in our wedding stuff again and to see everybody who couldn't come to the wedding.

The church sign welcoming us...

The decorations were lovely!

The auditorium was set up so that people could eat and watch the slideshow of our wedding pics...

Mr. and Mrs. Adam Burtt! :)

We're finally getting the hang of this kissing thing ;)

With some of the Burtt gals...

Me and Anna. Do I qualify for being a Burtt yet? :)

Time to cut the cake!

Yep...I shoved it in his face again. How else do you do it? :)

After the party, the Burtt cousins decided to experiment with some sunset pics. They turned out great!

I love you, Adam!

Our New House

Welcome to the home of Adam and Katie Burtt! We praise the Lord for His provision of our cute little house. Thought you all might like a "tour" of the place...

View from the street...

As you walk inside our front door, you enter our living room...

Down the hall, there are two bedrooms. The kitchen is at the end.

The master bedroom (our room :))...

Our bedroom connects with the bathroom (there is also an entrance to the bathroom from the living room)...

This is our second bedroom, which unfortunately is the "throw-all" room right now. Eventually it will be a guest room for all of you who would like to come visit us! :)

At the end of the hallway is the kitchen. I just love my little kitchen!

We have a small pantry...

We were trying to go with the coffee/cafe theme for our kitchen, but some of the permanent decor made this difficult. However, you can still see some little hints of "coffee" throughout the kitchen...

I even found an old coffee mill!

We just love our little home! Come and visit us! :)

Honeymoon

We had a GREAT time on our honeymoon! We stayed the first night at Sybaris (a VERY nice hotel), and then flew to Baltimore, MD. From there we rented a car and stopped in Washington, D.C. for a day:
Because it was a boiling 90-100 degrees that day, we decided to take the Metro into D.C. and visit the indoor (and air-conditioned!) Smithsonian Museum.

Riding the Metro...

At the Air and Space Museum...

While at the Air and Space Museum, we saw a 3D Imax presentation.

Next, we visited the Natural Science Museum and decided to have a little fun...

We got to meet a bunch of Adam's relatives. See the resemblance?

More Smithsonian pics...

After D.C., we drove down to the Massanutten Resort in Virginia. Here we are dining in the "Fairways Restaurant" on the resort.

At the laundromat...

Adam's birthday fell on the Wednesday of our honeymoon week. I surprised him with gifts, a small cake, and LOTS of kisses! :)

We also went mini-golfing on his birthday...

Enjoying a Starbucks after dinner. :) Thanks for the giftcard, Barfields!

At IHOP...

We decided to take a hike up one of the mountains one night. This was our view!

On Friday we decided to take a drive up into the Shenandoah Valley National Park. It was SO beautiful! Here we are in our rental "Caddy" (Cadillac).

Adam wanted to see a bear while we were in the park...

...and he got his wish! :)

The view from one of the scenic overlooks.

We took a short walk up to another scenic overlook. We got to see the ENTIRE Shenandoah Valley from here!

Sorry, Beth. I TRIED to push him over. :)

We thought we'd try some cool perspective shots while we were up there...

Here's the place we stayed at while we were there....Massanutten Resort. What an AWESOME place!

The building we stayed in...

Our view outside the door.

Inside the motel room (actually, it was like a small apartment!)...

(Excuse the junk. I didn't think to take pics of it until the day we left)

Goodbye, Virginia!

We ended our honeymoon back in Washington, D.C. and got to take a tour through the International Spy Museum. SO COOL! We highly recommend it! :)

We flew back to WI on Saturday night. Back to reality now! :)
